Minimize & Multitasking in Windows

When you have an application running, it will have this in the TOP RIGHT CORNER:

To Minimize, Click The , this will place it on the taskbar like this:

If you then open another application you can switch between the applications by clicking on their title in the Taskbar (shown below)

Whichever one you click will then be displayed on the screen.
